Hemp is an interesting plant, its also known as cannabis, marijuana, Mary Jane, dope, weed an another stack of names.
I am not in favour of people getting high twenty-four hours a day but if that's what people want to do then that's their choice. the governments of the world policing nature strikes me as a little crazy.
Hemp can be used to make paper, plastics, shampoo, rope and a stack of other things. and it grows fast. Hemp really could have us from our reliance of fossil fuels and forest felling.
for too many reasons its illegal.
why am i spending the time telling you this? well because today i read an article about how its the worlds favourite drug.
one article says the following:
“The government has spent millions trying to warn young people about the risks of smoking cannabis, but despite high-profile television campaigns, it remains the most commonly used illegal drug in the UK.”
i think its about time we stopped worrying about people getting high and started using this plant for fuel, paper and clothing. people get high why should we care about that? it happens, it always has.
